Who we are

Grant Thornton Taiwan is a member firm of Grant Thornton International. Grant Thornton Taiwan was founded in 1971. The firm is committed to providing quality and value services to clients. We work closely with the international organization, to constantly develop new service lines to strengthen our service capabilities to international clients. In June 2004, we completed our registration with the PCAOB in the US.

Our main office is in Taipei and we have a branch office in Taichung. The total number of employees working in the organisation in Taiwan is approximately 140.

How we work

The firm follows the strategy of Grant Thornton International by providing partner led services. This means that a client service partner acts as the main coordinator to oversee the performance of each assignment. Each client service partner is also supported by specialized service division teams working hand in hand with each other. This means that our clients can easily tap into our in-depth knowledge pool and can also turn to several people when there is need for assistance on a job performed by the firm.

Assurance

Grant Thornton Taiwan offers all disciplines of auditing. Our firm uses Grant Thornton Voyager software as the tool for completing audits. The final report gives a non-discriminatory opinion on a timely basis and provides clients with proposals for improvement. The work is completed in accordance with recognized accounting principles. This gives clients, and other parties who need to rely on the financial data, a safeguard that it is reliable.

Tax

Grant Thornton Taiwan employs experts who specialize in tax laws and regulations as well as transfer pricing. An emphasis is placed on a timely resolution to clients' problems. Consultation is offered on national and international tax matters, tax planning and the preparation of income tax returns. The firm's tax reputation and expertise have been widely recognized. Outsourcing
Grant Thornton Taiwan recognizes that international clients having a presence in Taiwan may require numerous types of outsourcing services. For this purpose, we have invested in resources to develop our own software tools to strengthen our services for clients. Our outsourcing services include payroll, bookkeeping, cash disbursement services, work permit applications and legal support services

Corporate secretarial
Grant Thornton Taiwan has the expertise to handle inbound investment applications including company formation and to set up branch offices, representative offices, and liaison offices. The firm also handles updating of statutory records for clients as well as applying for special permit and trademark registrations.
